Installation consisting of a 300 lb. block of ice melting with hydrophones inserted, video projection captured in the Arctic of drifting sea ice, audio captured in the Arctic of melting glaciers, tarp, and cast aluminum forms. 16’ x 40’ x 49’
This is a sculpture installation with a stereo sound component. The recording is of ocean waves (rollers) slowly ascending and retracting pushing air through a 40' long by 14' deep crevice in a granite rock off the cost of Maine. The recording documents the respiration of the ocean.
The radiators (speakers) are positioned inside the concrete board structures, directing the sound out through the slots bracketing the rock on the floor.

Incorporates a chain-link crucible, river boulders (one original and four cast copies of different metals), marble dust and a video projection of turbulent water taken off Maine’s rocky coast.
The chain-link fabric conical form acts as a three-dimensional screen as it captures the video image and abstracts it into a form of visual energy (much like an aurora borealis). The installation references thoughts about the origins of the universe and our planet.
